Porsche 911 ST was produced in small quantities for racing (serial production of the ST lasted from 1970 to 1971).
Cars were available with 1,987 cc (2.0 L) or 2,404 cc (2.4 L) engines with an output power of 270 hp (200 kW; 270 hp) at 8000 rpm. Weight dropped to 960 kg (2,120 lb).
Cars achieved success at the 6-hour race in Daytona, the 12-hour race in Sebring, the 1000-kilometer Nurburgring and Targa Florio and the Monte Carlo Rally.
