History
Introduced to the press at the Nürburgring in 1996, the Ferrari 550 Maranello was the answer to those who believed that the performance of a front-engined V12 could not be surpassed by a mid-engined car.
The successor to the F512M, the 550 Maranello was faster and, thanks to its improved front-engine layout and rear-wheel drive, much more practical.
The exterior design of the car was created by the now iconic Pininfarina studio.
